Hello there everybody, my name is Rachel Vogt and I am entering my 7th year here at John Paul II Academy! I work part time as the art specialist, working on Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays. This year I also took on the role as the Athletic Director at JPIIA! When I graduated college in 2008 I had no idea what I wanted to do, but as I started coaching I realized I truly enjoyed working with kiddos and seeing them grow and experience new and exciting opportunities. As I wanted to continue coaching I also wanted to stay creative and apply my love for art so I decided to go back to school and get my teaching license in Art Education, and here we are today!

Education and Previous Teaching Opportunities |
A little bit about Me! |
I graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College with a Bachelors Degree in Art with a minor in Psychology. From there I went to Alverno College were I received my teaching licensure in Art Education (K-12), and Adaptive Art Education (K-12).
My first teaching experience was in Bayview, WI at Atlas Preparatory Academy at the Russell campus working with 7-12th grade students. Secondly, I worked at Messmer Catholic Schools at the St. Rose/St. Leo campus serving K4-8th grade students. Both of these experiences have been valuable in my growth as an educator. |
While I work here part time at JPIIA and I enjoy getting to use my creativity to create art projects for your students, I also have two other part time jobs that I fill my free time with. I work at my alma matter, Wisconsin Lutheran College, as an assistant softball coach, which I have had the pleasure of doing for 10 years! During my summers off I work at Graceland Cemetery enjoying the time and opportunity to be outdoors and active.
In 2015 I married my husband Darrin, and we now live in an old renovated farm on the border of Racine and Caldeonia! On my time away from work I enjoy watching and playing all kinds of sports, being on the boat cruising around, eating cheese and chocolate and exploring the world around me! |
The parents and teacher working together are vital to the success of your student in the art room, so please feel free to contact me about any problems, questions and concerns. You can contact me through a message in Class Dojo and/or send an email to [email protected]
